Shamy is 1-1 as a professional fighter (having gone 4-0 as an amateur). His last fight was in May where he defeated Zed Mitchell in Ring of Combat 48 by way of submission via strikes.

He's been looking strong, quick, and technical in his practice and sparring sessions. Everyone (especially his various sparring partners) is looking forward to seeing Shamy put his skills on display.

Shamy will be fighting Ryan King tonight. King holds a professional record of 0-1 and an amateur record of 5-2. According to his Facebook page, he holds "the Elite Federation of Fighters 185 Belt, the Impact Fight League 185 belt, and has held the Spiders Mission Fight League Heavyweight Belt, MI as well as the Extreme Combat 205 belt."

Also fighting tonight at ROC 49 is friend of the academy, Cody Mooney. Mooney fights out of Renzo Gracie Middletown and has sparred on several occasions at our academy. We look forward to seeing him fight.

If you can't get to the Tropicana in Atlantic City to see the fights tonight, you can stream them live at gfl.tv. The fights will only cost you $16.99 and you can replay them anytime.
